Who We Are
Kateslem, an Indigenous word meaning "coming together as one" started from a recognized need for a safe space for middle school aged youth to learn essential life skills, how to keep themselves safe, and how to leave the stresses of home outside and just be kids. Our strength lies in the future of our youth and our goal is to provide them with everything they need to become successful adults. From the moment we started our work in 2000, we understood that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Kateslem Youth Society. We strive to make a positive change in the lives of all our children and youth along with their families and care givers.
